Recommendations

The CLIMAS Recommendations Tool presents key policy insights and lessons learned from the CLIMAS project, turning three years of research and fieldwork into practical guidance for decision-makers.
Developed from the experience of Climate Assemblies and Living Labs across Europe, these recommendations highlight how citizen deliberation can strengthen climate adaptation governance — making policies more grounded, socially accepted, and politically actionable.
This tool serves as a policy companion for local, regional, and national authorities seeking to embed participation in adaptation planning. It identifies common governance barriers (such as institutional gaps, political reluctance, or weak follow-up) and offers actionable steps to overcome them, supported by other CLIMAS tools.
Explore the CLIMAS Recommendations to discover concrete tips, suggestions, and pathways toward more inclusive, transparent, and resilient climate governance.
